Studio Photo shoot

Wednesday night Jay told me us to meet him on Friday in Hammersmith Broadway for 8:30am, lol. Thought he was joking. He wasn't!!! I went to bed at 4 am!!!

Took 3 trains to East London (Cyprus to be exact). Got to the studio at 9:30am, finished at 7:00pm. Total number of 764 pictures. I don't know which ones to pick!!!!! The day was long!!! Got home at 9:00pm

The day was like a mini road trip, i so really excited, i forgot to eat, became really light headed and stuffed my face with chocolate, crisps and coke. Big no no.

Yeah i did it, i flirted!!! It got the job done THOUGH!! I'm not a poser is a poser and he was loving it!!! Although he was trying to do it on the sly, but i picked up on it, i had his cards marked.

Outdoor shoot

Wednesday 25th April 2007 10pm -2:30am


I am knackered, every part of my body is hurting from just walking up and down, directing: where is the musician!!!! Why am i only seeing a blank face? At some point i felt like my head was hitting a brick wall, he has really never done this before. Any all that aside the pics came out really well, very very natural which was the aim.


Here are some photos of me photographing them. Will post the finals as soon as i get them.

Photoshoots Confirmed

Spoke to Jay-D-Will this morning, the outdoor photo shoot has been confirmed for this evening at around 10pm and the studio shoot will take place on Friday in East London.


The concept for both shoots are simply striped bare, me/myself and I. The images will represent him, his love for the music and his honesty. No elaborate accessories that will disappear once the shoot is over. Everything thats in the shoot has to belong to him and he has to be going home with it. So that means no gold chains,money flying in the air, or women with loadsa junk in her trunk!!! Bye bye buffie the body.




I'm slightly nervous as I'm not to sure what to expect, Props is not a model and is constantly insisting that hes not a poser either, so what ever happens happens.


I'm gonna try and make him feel as comfortable as possible, so that Jay can photography him in his element, maybe flirt with him a bit then ask him to strike a pose just to serve my curiosity, when hes off guard, or is that not professional?

Hurray!!! I found it at last!!!

Offical Music Copyright Laws

I needed to know this info for when i porduce the CD selve work and the documentary!! So here it is in brief:

The notice should be obvious and legible, and if applicable, (e.g. web sites) the notice should appear on every page.
Mark any copies of your work with a notice, on the body of the work as well as the cover or sleeve.
The notice should take the form of:
The actual term copyright.
The copyright symbol ©.
The year.
Normally when first published, but for unpublished work, use the year it was written.
The name of the owner.
This can be an individual, collective or organisation.
e.g. Copyright © 2000 Joe Smith.
For sound recordings you should also include a phonogram rights notice for the sound recording itself, using the phonogram symbol to denote the copyright of the sound recording.
e.g. Copyright © 2000 Joe Smith/ 2000 Joe Smith

What copyright exists in music?

There are principally 2 types of copyright to consider when we talk about music copyright.
The traditional ©, ‘C in a circle’ copyright, applies to the composition, musical score, lyrics, as well as any artwork or cover designs, as all of these are individually subject to copyright in their own rights, (though when you register, you can include them all in a single registration provided they have the same copyright owner(s)).
The second type of copyright applies to the sound recording itself, and is signified by the ‘P in a circle’

Extending the notice

You may also include additional statements expressing your wishes as the owner.
For most uses, a simple all rights reserved statement is sufficient. Depending on the work and how you wish it to be used, you may choose a more explicit declaration, such as:Any unauthorised broadcasting, public performance, copying or re-recording will constitute an infringement of copyright.

CD Pacakaging

These are the packaging's that i have been thinking about so far, the only problem is that the majority of the places I've spoken to do a minimum of 500 copies, the less you do the more expensive!!!

Will speak to Props about his packaging budget and and the amount of copies needed.

Jay-D-Will is a highly talented photographer and re-toucher; his abilities enable him to work successfully within different genres of photography such as Commercial, Fine Art, Documentary, and Cinematography. To me his photo’s are at the creative heart of I’m trying to achieve. His photos have a vibe to them that I can’t explain, but all I can say is I’m extremely excited and in love.

Red Bull Music Academy

Wants needed from me!!!

Props has asked me to have the artwork for the CD sleeve ready for posting by 3rd May, that includes the artwork printed onto CD. He basically wants the CD he sends off to look like an album. I’m hoping to have creative packaging for the CD itself to give it more of an edge, if not by this deadline defiantly for my FMP deadline. I’ll get some visuals together.

I have suggested we do a photo shoot for the regular snapshot that has been requested by the academy, I have a photographer in mind Jay-D-Will, and hopefully they will stand out from the rest of the entrants.
